In 1976 he became a general appraiser and qualified furniture expert, so far the only person/specialist in The Netherlands who may call himself ‘Furniture expert’.

He is registered with the Federation of Registered valuers/appraisers, brokers and auctioneers in movable goods (Federatie TMV) under registration number 99/153 and as such certified according to the European Standard EN-45013, under registration numbers 19492 and 19633 with Hobéon SKO.
