A Dutch secretaire à abattant
This 'secrétaire à abattant', with a rectangular grey marble top, is modelled with one long drawer above a fall-front enclosing a fitted interior and two cupboard-doors.
The fall-front is inlaid with a large lacquer panel with birds, flowers and clouds surrounded by a border. The lacquer panels of the two cupboard doors show each a different decoration of flowers. The canted angles corners are inlaid with a marquetry of trellis, raised on four octagonal tapering feet. (restorations)
